Course
description

The Computer Science for Embedded Systems programme enables students to acquire the practical knowledge and skills required to design modern embedded systems – that is, systems used in, for example, cars, robots, IoT devices and medical equipment.

Students learn how to create, test and develop technological solutions – from hardware to advanced software. The programme includes, amongst other things,

  • low-level and high-level programming,
  • digital circuits and embedded systems
  • real-time operating systems (RTOS),
  • computational acceleration technologies (FPGA, GPGPU),
  • system security.

The programme is distinguished by its strong emphasis on modern, complex embedded systems – their reliability, energy efficiency and the integration of hardware and software.

In addition, students acquire skills in the following areas:

  • data analysis and pattern recognition,
  • image and audio processing,
  • artificial intelligence.

This enables them to create intelligent systems that analyse their surroundings and make decisions in real time. This combination of embedded systems and AI is a unique feature of this programme.

The programme places a strong emphasis on practical experience – it includes laboratory work, team projects and the use of professional tools for simulation, testing and optimisation. Students acquire skills that meet the current demands of the job market.

The course also helps students develop soft skills such as teamwork, communication and time management. This prepares graduates to work in interdisciplinary teams and to take on roles that require both technical knowledge and organisational skills.
